How to write a resume recruiters can scan in seconds

A strong resume is not just complete. It is fast to understand, honest, and clearly mapped to the role.

Start with role signal

Use a target title, a focused summary, and the most relevant keywords near the top. Recruiters should understand your lane before they reach the experience section.

Make bullets measurable

Lead each bullet with the action, then include scope, tools, or impact. Numbers are helpful when true, but context also counts: team size, product scale, customers, budgets, or speed.

Keep structure boring on purpose

Use clear headings like Summary, Experience, Education, Skills, Projects, and Certifications. This helps both human readers and ATS parsers understand the page.
